On 4th September took place in Ponte de Lima (Portugal), a multiplier event focused on Safety and Health in the Offshore Sector, organized by PREVIFORM. This event was cellebrated as part of the dissemination strategy of the SHIELD project in order to give as much visibility as possible to the project’s contents. The seminar’s impact has been very satisfying, thanks to the great number of organizations and entities attending the meeting. Educational enterprises such as Epralina; companies from the industrial sector like Pipe Masters, Américo Esteves & Filhos or JASR among others, and technicians from the Portuguese Minestry of Education and the Portuguese Minestry of Agriculture were among the participants of the event.
During the event, it was also introduced the pilot training course on Labour Risk Prevention in the offshore sector that has been developed within the framework of the SHIELD project. The course develops the basic content for workers, PRL professionals, mutual insurance companies, etc. interested on training in Health and Safety at sea. The course will be in Den Helder (The Netherlands) in January 2019 and will last for 8 days (+ 2 days for travelling). The attendees will obtain the EUROPASS diploma, in which the training content is acredited.
